Upcoming Kickstarter: Thorngrim & Company- Space Scrappers
almost 3 years ago – Fri, Jun 11, 2021 at 11:15:59 PM

Greetings Backers!

I wanted to let you know about my upcoming Kickstarter Thorgrim & Company, Space Scrappers. It’s kind of a mash up of old school sci fi miniatures mashed up with one of my favorite Fantasy stories.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/skullandcrown/thorngrim-and-company-space-scrappers

“Thorngrim and Company, at your Service”

Jorvik Thorngrim and his company of elite mercenary “Scrappers”, a hearty mix of asteroid miners and warriors, adventure their way through derelict space wrecks (drifters) and abandoned mining asteroids trying to find lost and fabled treasures and technologies. Along their adventures they are joined by a Halfling rogue and an ancient cyborg Astrogator, with a pointy hooded cloak (Gandalf).

Each member of the company is a unique hero, designed with lots of character, and armed and armored to take on a role in the expeditions that features their talents.

The real reason Thorngrim and his clan have taken on the trade of Scrappers, is that he searches for the fabled hearthcore of His clan which was taken when a Void Demon destroyed his entire belter colony asteroid.

The Kickstarter has a campaign attached via Thorgrim’s map. As stretch goals are unlocked, so is the campaign map- and backers (at the appropriate levels) will get a free miniature, and a scenario that goes with it.

Thanks for taking a look- here’s a link if you want to sign up to be reminded of when we go live. You don’t have to keep this secret or safe- feel free to share it with your friends.

Cheers!

Killer Rabbits 2 Kickstarter launching Sept 4th

Ahoy Backers!

Just wanted to share my upcoming Kickstarter. Like Triumph of Death, one Kickstarter was not enough to cover all the cool stuff we wanted to make- so behold- Killer Rabbits 2!

Not only do the hounds come out to play, but there are more rabbits in the mischief mix. And, I'm adding in "stage flat" style scenery to enhance that manuscript or table top experience.

Like Triumph of Death, all the sculpts are based on historical reference. Thanks for checking it out!

Who lettith the dogs out- first greens sneak peek
almost 4 years ago – Mon, Jun 01, 2020 at 01:19:08 AM

Killer Rabbits II, "who lettith the dogs out" is starting to take shape. Drew has sent me pictures of the first greens. I'll be teasing them out over the next few days. I've also been working up some sketches of laser cut "backdrop" pieces to add to the KS. More on that, as it evolves.

Take care,

Pictures and Updates and stuff!

Ahoy Backers!

I hope this missive finds you all well during these challenging times. I know here at Fosshaus there have been moments not unlike scenes from “the Shining”,  intermixed with fantastic bonding moments, and times to get some hobby projects  done. In fact many of you have been sharing with me some of your painted minis, and I wanted to share them with the rest of you. Here’s a few shots. I'd love to get more pictures from you all and see what you are doing!

Garret Sheenan making great statuary and skellies
Simon Arne loves to do conversion work to his armies
Jim Wallace has a great approach- love his muted colors and rust
Cal Vannoni getting his skellies ready for Frostgrave
Some fantastic and inspiring work from Hetairoi Games in Spain.
Robert Knight's great Killer Rabbits!

Other big News

First sneak peek to my Backers! This is gonna be fun!

A couple of weeks before shelter in place I was visiting our talented and strikingly handsome sculptor Drew Day Williams at his studio up in San Francisco. Over a great bowl of Pho’ (ah I miss going to restaurants) We were talking about all the feedback and wish lists that you all gave us from previous Kickstarters, and this came out of the brainstorm! (among other things…)  Stay tuned for more in the near future!

New Shiny Store!

Right before my last Kickstarter, the server that my older webstore was on wen t belly up, taking my store with it; unfortunately we didn’t find out for a couple of months. Since then we’ve been working to get it back up and more “shiny”. Happy to say it’s up and running again! Still a work in progress, as I want to get a gallery and more pictures up, but if you have a chance, take a look!
